Welcome! 

 

I am a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School.

 

I come from a family of entrepreneurs: both my dad and my sister have started their own businesses.I have always wondered why they chose that career path and how these choices influenced others around them. I am lucky because I get to find out the answers!

 

My research thus investigates: 

​

(a) why individuals sometimes give up their jobs and become entrepreneurs

 

(b) how it matters for established firms and the society in terms inequality, workplace segregation, and income distribution, etc..

​

In addition to entrepreneurs, my research also investigates mobility patterns of other high human capital workers, including engineers, innovators, finance professionals, musicians, etc.
